Weekly Homeless Feed
Serving Our Community with Compassion, Dignity and Hope
At Community Plaza, we believe that no one should have to face hunger or hardship alone. For over five years, our founder, Jamil Khan, together with a dedicated team of volunteers, has been providing a weekly homeless feed to support people experiencing homelessness, financial hardship and social isolation.
Every Wednesday, we open our doors to anyone who needs a warm meal, a friendly conversation or practical support. More than just providing food, we create a welcoming environment where people are treated with dignity, respect and compassion.
More Than a Meal
Our weekly homeless feed is about much more than serving food. It is about listening, supporting and helping people take positive steps towards a better future.
We provide:
- Fresh hot meals and refreshments
- A safe, welcoming and non-judgemental environment
- Friendly volunteers who are here to listen and help
- Advice and guidance on accessing local support services
- Help accessing emergency accommodation and housing support
- Signposting for benefits, healthcare and wellbeing services
- Employment, training and volunteering guidance
- Ongoing mentoring and community support where appropriate
We understand that every person’s circumstances are different, and our aim is to provide practical help while restoring confidence, hope and independence.
When and Where

Our Mission
Community Plaza exists to strengthen our community by supporting those who need it most. We believe that small acts of kindness can have a lasting impact and that everyone deserves the opportunity to rebuild their life with dignity.
Through partnerships with local organisations, charities and support services, we work to connect individuals with the help they need, whether that is housing advice, employment opportunities, mental health support or access to essential services.
Get Involved
Our work is only possible because of the generosity of our volunteers, supporters and local businesses.
You can support our weekly homeless feed by:
- Volunteering your time
- Donating food and refreshments
- Donating clothing, toiletries and essential items
- Sponsoring meals or community initiatives
- Partnering with Community Plaza as a local business or organisation
Every contribution, no matter how big or small, helps us make a positive difference in someone's life.
Need Support?
If you or someone you know is experiencing homelessness, struggling to afford food, or facing difficult circumstances, please don’t hesitate to visit us on a Wednesday. Our team will always do their best to offer practical support, guidance and a warm welcome.
Together, we can build a stronger, more compassionate community where no one is left behind.
